The world became familiar with the use of Microsoft Internet Explorer, as it was bundled within their widely propagated PC Operating Systems. Other brands are building market share, so your web pages need to work in all the browsers. And because older versions of web browsers linger, your website pages need to work on them too.
The appearance of your website needs to be checked in all the main web browsers, e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer, Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc.
Tip: open the same website page in a second browser tab so you can simply switch between a 'before' & 'after' version to make a direct comparison.
